dominos
Made in ~20 hours for the 2025 GMTK Game Jam, Theme = Loops
Inspired by playing with dominos on a recent holiday, this is my first time actually finishing a game, submitting to a jam and working in Godot, enjoy!
Controls
Drag dominos with the mouse and use the scroll wheel to rotate them
When you can't place anymore dominos press Finish to go to the shop
About
Tiles with the same number of pips connect
Create loops of dominos on the grid, loops can be as small as 2x2
Loops clear to earn points and make room for more dominos
Longer loops score more points
The more dominos you place, the harder it gets
Will you see the rumoured 9 pip tile?
Run out of room and finish the round
Spend points to unlock bigger grids, a larger hand or scramble tiles
Scrambled tiles connect to all neighbours but are worth no points
Bigger grids mean bigger loops but also bigger dominos
Credits
I was hoping to make as much as possible from scratch for this jam but didn't find the time create all the audio used. Special thanks to the following:

Please keep developing this game. You've created a genuinely charming game with a lovely style. I would genuinely buy this game, especially with a little polish.
So addictive. Turned even more fun when I discovered the rotation on mouse wheel 😆
You beat my high score!
Thanks for playing, I've added a note on controls in the description to hopefully make this clearer 😅
